The workshops will be offered once a month for six months. Each workshop will accommodate 10 people and last 2 hours. All supplies * are provided by the Artist/Guide, me, Susan.

Meet "Queen Frida." It is so much fun sprinkling bling onto a page. Micro-glitter, sparkling confetti, ribbons of gold paint, gold foil, and even some of my favorite kinds of beads are used to honor my Artist shero.
I think next time I will be embellishing some tropical ocean location, oooo, or a sea turtle. What would you choose to GET YOUR SPAKLE ON?

Thanks to getting out in nature walking and talking with a friend, visiting an art show, attending some Women's Soundbaths (Feminine Frequency by Sacred Sound Arts Healing), and whales showing up in different ways online and in my dreams, I am reconnecting with The Beautiful Creative Force, The Divine Feminine. This collage honors and celebrates some aspects of and is titled "The Divine Feminine."

What's so funny about this, "Fly High," collage? For one...the starry sky looking like a magical portal that you can fly into to a new, unknown reality, and also that we are in the actual magical reality where a person builds and gets into a go-kart flying machine to show birds raised in foster care the route home to a wild life they have yet to know but are about to...

In the playful world of art, where it's all about doing all the things the way we want to do them, where do rules fit in? I found out that sometimes the rules will produce a boring piece of work that isn't even a work. But from that place, where can we take it and make it say something we truly do want to say? Find out in the collage workshop when we MAKE THREE FROM ONE.
SPELL IT OUT
Sometimes rules can lead to fun, beautiful, even inspired artworks - it's true!
During this collage project, we collect images and words that start only with the first letter of our first and last names. Above, you can see a portion of my "Shine On Swan" collage. There's the Splashing Swan, the Smoky Mountains, and the Sky. The cropped portion holds the words Shine On Sweet Spirit. This is so completely me - really!
The second collage I made that follows the same rules contains one image of: a Shadow, Sand, Seaoats, the Shore, the Sea, and Sky!
PLAY WITH PORTRAITS
Although all artworks are expressions of ourselves, I wouldn't typically use actual images of myself in my artworks. But I have heard that getting out of our comfort zones is how we grow, and making art on the edge of our comfort zone is how we grow as Artists - sooo....here's my PLAY WITH PORTRAITS if it had a theme song it would be Valerie June's "Asteral Plane."
