Hi! I'm Susan Carter, an Illustrator and Creative Adventure Guide based in
Murfreesboro, Tennessee. That's a little south of Nashville.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Fine Art, I began my career as an Artist, showing acrylic paintings in galleries and painting watercolor portraits. More recently, I joined the online art communities "Make Art That Sells", "The Art Beat Club", and "Getting Paid to Draw". Now, I love to draw and paint happy, uplifting art illustrations. My watercolor and digital works often feature flowers, birds, and animals. Sometimes, my cute animal characters like to wear overalls and cool t-shirts.
My goal is to make and sell my art illustrations for novelty items, greeting cards, and kids' activity books. Recently, I began selling my art as stickers and introducing myself and my art to companies that make novelty items and to local businesses. You can purchase my original watercolors and prints when you visit Midnight Grove Collective.

In addition to drawing and painting, I work at a family-owned garden center.
In my free time, I read, browse in thrift shops, and walk in the woods.
I also enjoy planning and guiding creativity workshops. I started the Creative Adventure Club, which meets once a month and does a creative project.
A portion of every club ticket sale goes to Charity:Water, providing clean drinking water where needed.
