Sometimes before or after I paint a painting, I look up the symbolic meanings of the subjects - kind of like hiding an easter egg or interpreting a dream. All the subjects have some personal meaning to me but you may be surprised to find out that sometimes I don't know what it is until I really take time to think it over after the work is done. And just like when anyone else looks at a painting - the meaning may change depending on how/who I am when I look at it.
