Murfreesboro's Poet Laureate of 2021, Amie Whittemore, created an online Art Project where someone shared a dream they had with a poet and a visual artist and they created their interpretations/responses to the dream. The poem, artwork, and the dreamer's response to them were displayed in an online art gallery together. This painting is my expression of how the dream resonated with me, how I imagined the dream, and a message to the dreamer - and turns out a message to a hidden part of myself.
