Local artist CatieBeth Thomas will be our Guest Creative Adventure Guide this month. We will make cyanotypes.

What are cyanotypes? This original "blueprint" printmaking technique was created in the 1850s, and involves painting a solar fast solution on paper or fabric (in a dark room), then dry, and finally exposed in the sun. We will create two designs with local dried and fresh flowers and plants to create sun powered artworks that oxidize to a deep blue! Feel free to bring an item that holds meaning to you - a necklace or other jewelry, fabric (lace), flowers from your home, etc. The cost is $35 and participants get to create and take home their two original Cyanotype artworks.
